April is gone, and it's already may. (Yeah, My month is done, it's gone! D: haha)
I have no idea how "May" is expressed, but in Korea, it's been said "May is Family Month."
As your country may have, Korea also has the day to express thank to their parents.
I heard that it's 2nd Sunday of May in other countries, and19th March in Italy, and in US, Father's day on 3rd Sunday of June and Mother's day on 2nd Sunday of May.
But in Korea, we don't have Father's day, and Mother's day. We just have PARENT' DAY instead.
And it was last Thursday. We celebrate the day on May 8 every year.
I don't know well how to celebrate that day in foreign countries, but in Korea, we give carnation (usually red carnation) to parents, or put carnations on parents' chests.
This year, I bought a bundle of carnation
like this
and I bought a clothes for my mom in department store. (Actually the clothes is to celebrate Parents' day and my mom's birthday.)
Anyway, to show you more closely,
감사합니다.
It means "Thank you" in Korean.
And here are carnations.
There was nothing special except the clothes.
But if someone ask me if I do same thing every year, I would answer "NO".
Because..
I baked muffins last year, and didn't forget to put carnations at the top. :P
Ta-da!
