How to make 떡볶이(Tteok-bokki)

Hi, it's been a long time, hasn't it? You might not wonder, but I was swamped with exams, and I couldn't use internet because I got my home repapered. :o

Anyway, during my exam period, I really really fancied 떡볶이(tteok-bokki), even though I usually don't like anything spicy.
떡볶이 is street food, so you can easily find it on the street. But I'm pretty lazy to go out to buy 떡볶이...

So.. I made it! :o
And today, I'm here to share how to make it!

Firstly, prepare 떡(Rice cake!)
Actually 떡 for 떡볶이(tteokbokki) is longer, but I used this one since I have this kind of 떡 too much!
If you have frozen rice-cake, steep it in water about 1~2 hours.

And prepare onion and slice it.

Prepare fish cake, but I skipped it this time!

Then, let's make a sauce!

Add a spoon of 고추장(Gochujang: red pepper paste)

p.s: I add 2.5~3 spoon of 고추장 usually, but you can add a spoon of it, if you think it's too spicy.

Add a spoon of 간장(Ganjang: soy sauce)

2 spoons of 매실액(plum liquid)
p.s: You can add sugar if you don't have this one.

Crushed garlic and sesame oil.

Then, just mix, mix, and mix it!

As I told you before, you can use sugar.
(I usually don't add it though.)

Prepare stock and add the sauce you made.
I will let you know how to make the stock at the end of this posting though.

When it starts to boil,

Add onion

and the rice cake!

Depends on your liking, you can add ramen noodle!
p.s: We can call it 라볶이(Ra-bboki)
Ramen + Tteok bokki = Rabokki

Just boil it! And when it's cooked, add spring onion.

Ta-da! It's done.
With putting sesame at the top, it must be more delicious.

I added a boiled egg even!

Yay!! :D
Why don't you try to make it?!

Btw, when I was in elementary school, I used to crush an egg, after eating it.

It's pretty special taste. :P

(The other day...)

And you can fry rice at the end!

HOW TO MAKE THE STOKE THEN?

In to the water, add daikon, (It's just purple one)

onion, mushroom

dried anchovy

a pepper

and dried kelp.

Just boil it about 10 minutes, and then cool it. Then, you can get nice stock! :D

With this stock, you can make a lots of dishes! ;)
