Turn back to about a month ago, on November 29th, and 30th, there was European Christmas market in Seoul.
Though Christmas market is common in European countries such as Germany, it is not common in Korea. I actually hadn't seen it before. So it was really interesting news for me, and I decided to go there. I was about to go there on the 29th, I went there both day because on the first day, I arrived there at late time.
There was a lot of people. Even I could see so many foreigners. I took pictures with the purpose of posting, so please understand, the pictures aren't good. :)
Here is the one of booths which called "German club". There was no exact booth for Germany, so I unfortunately couldn't eat any German food in the market. I just tried a muffin and a cup of coffee.
like this! :D
In this picture, you can see booths of Switzerland and France, and booths for chill con carne & German beer, and Gluehwein.
There is booths of Canada, United Kingdom, and sausage. I actually wanted to try British food, but unfortunately there was only beer. :(
This is what I tried at the first, Spanish kebab with chicken. Though I saw kebab in Itaewon(I will post about here later), I hadn't tried any kebab before. I think it was pretty nice. My mom also liked it, though she doesn't like meat. :D
The next one is gluehwein. It was also first time to drink it. The queue for this was too long, so it took pretty long time to get a cup of it. It was rather strong, so I felt like there is little fire in my body. haha How can people drink it pretty well?
Next day, I ate French buckwheat Crepe. I think this is the thing I liked most in the market.
It was so delicious! Of course, my mom liked Spanish kebab more. When I ordered it, a French girl took an oder in Korean, It was impressive anyway.
This is last things I bought in there. The left things are Ukrainian traditional cookies, and right one is just Ukrainian chocolate. I didn't expect the cookies are delicious..! I'm not sure who made it, but there was an Ukrainian in the booth, when I visited there to buy it.
Okay, I'm going to finish my first posting. It isn't too much Korean, but it might be nice to show the different between Western country and Korea. I've heard that Christmas is pretty important holiday in Western country, and people usually spend Christmas with their family. But in Korea, it's not as important as it is in Western country. It's just one of holiday and people hang out with friends or go out on a date with their lover.
Unfortunately I don't have any special plans for Christmas, but I hope you guys have a great Christmas.♥
