Market in Korea

If somebody asks me what I usually do on Sunday, I'd rather answer "I go to the market on Sundays." The markets aren't kind of small supermarket, I go to major supermarkets.

Then, What are the major supermarkets in Korea? :o

The most popular and famous markets are :

It's not common mart, but it's really wide and huge market!

And we also have..

COSTCO!

Before Lunar New Year's Day, I surely went to the market. Even though I go to Hanaro market the most, I went to E mart this time. And I didn't forget to take pictures to post. ;)

Then, let's start shopping. ;)

As you may know, there are so many kinds of ramen in Korea.

(It's not the picture of all kinds of ramen!)

There are many variety of flavors, and some kinds of ramen aren't spicy.

More kinds of ramen. And there are instant cup ramens. 

Of course, there are sections for argo-fishery products.

And here is meat section.

And here is beaf.

And there are processed meat sections in the market.

It's food sections, so you can eat some food when you are hungry while shopping.

There are alcoholic beverages, including imported kinds.

And sections for WINE!!

And coffee sections.

It's pretty important section for me since I usually spend my money for coffee.

With this coffee sticks, I quite save my money from buying coffee. :P

There are also industrial products.

It's section for dish. (Mom's favorite section..!!!)

Even though I took the only one picture of clothes, there are many clothes in the market.

It's easy to find clothes in the market.

Before Lunar New Year's day, I even could find 한복(Hanbok: Korean traditional clothes) in the market. Unfortunately it was only for babies though.

(I'm too big to buy and wear it! :< )

There are some cosmetic brands like Etude, The Face Shop, etc

there are even corners for plants and pets.

Back to the food section,

I can find foreign foods like spaghetti noodles, sauces

Rice paper, various sauces, lemon liquid, olive

beans, and etc. @_@...

Above these, there are really many things in market, so you may be able to find almost things you need to live in Korea in this market. :P
